Have you ever prayed and prayed about something and felt that God had just not given you and answer? Or maybe you felt like he didn’t even hear you at all? Many times in life we ask God questions or we ask him for things we want and yet we feel that he is just not paying attention to us. I was reminded this week of this very thing from the one person in my life who has been my “oak tree” always steadfast, rooted in the Bible, and forever reminding me to just pray about it. Sometimes I want to just say but I don’t feel like praying about it but how would I feel if God told me he didn’t feel like it? One of my favorite verses is Micah 7:7-8 which says “Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: My God will hear me. Rejoice not against me O mine enemy: When I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.” So wait upon the Lord. Only he knows what is best for us and sometimes as my “oak tree” will tell me, his answer is just to wait.
